VH07V SPOTTED!

This week’s “Spotted” shot for VH07V features a group shot taken at this past weekend’s Food & New Products Show. VH07V had an amazing weekend and did better here than any other show previously. Weekly VH07V Updates!

* On Sunday, my friend Shari Lau Yoshinaga and her “Team VH07V” team participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Kapiolani Park. Along with VH07V’s humble donation, she was able to raise $1,353.10 for the foundation, placing #14 out of 299 teams! Amazing job Shari! What a hero! Below are a few pics from that day. * Pretty much set for the mini craft fair this Sunday at Koko Head Elementary School’s Cafeteria. My friends Kari and Julie are setting it up so we’ll have an area there for a few hours if you want to stop by and pick up some VH07V merch.

* A bunch of people were asking if I’ll be participating in the Islandwide Crafts & Food Expo taking place on the Black Friday weekend from Nov 23-25. Part of me wants to, but part of me is pretty burnt out from this past expo. Out of curiosity, I inquired with event producer Caroline Infante so she will be sending me pricing and info for the show. Depending on the cost and how much I have forgotten about how much work it takes for one of these shows (LOL!), I may or may not do it.

Well, this here is officially the final (work week) day for blogs on the Honolulu Advertiser site. Wow. An end of an era for sure. Although I’m one of the babies of the group, I still definitely feel the impact.

Hopefully, some of y’all will stick around and continue to read and participate as I attempt to move our WWE `Ohana to the new Star-Advertiser site.

Fun Day Monday – Pet Peeves

The other day, I saw some clown wearing his shades indoors. Mo’ worse, it was night time. *groan* I never understood this. Am I supposed to be impressed with their uber coolness or somethin’?

Now I know that there may be some – with serious eye issues – who have the need for darkened lenses, and I completely sympathize with them. The peeps I’m actually talking about are the “I’m-wearing-these-mack-daddy-shades-at-night-so-I-can-attempt-to-be-too-cool-for-school” type. Oh boy.

Now that we have an entire weekend under our belts, I thought this might be a good time to vent, ala kuya.d‘s “I’m So Over It” post. And yeah, I could’ve sworn we’ve done this “pet peeve” topic before, but the only one I could find was our traffic pet peeve post. So vent it all out. What are some of your biggest pet peeves?

Fave Friday – Body Parts

Now before you go thinkin’ this is some kind of typically pervy post, hear me out yo.

So the other morning, I got out of the shower (still not pervy, I promise!) and felt something irritating my eye. So I scoped um out in my mirror and noticed a super lonnnng lash piercing the orbital.

Funny thing is this wasn’t the first time. In fact, my lash(es) tend to get in my eye more often than I care to count. I think I pretty much must have the weakest lashes in the history of all lashes.

So in honor of today’s topic, post your fave (or non fave) body parts in the comment area below. Feel free to list your own parts or from those of the opposite (or same?) sex. Faves:

• still gots a full head of hair (*knock on wood*)
• big hands & big feet (which basically only means that I can palm a basketball and wear adult-sized shoes! Ahahaha!)
• in relatively good shape for a person approaching *cough* years old

Non-Faves:

• weakest lashes ever invented
• single persistent/annoying hair that tickles the inside of my left nostril from time to time
• can’t grow a mustache or beard to save my life

From the Opposite Sex…

Faves:

• I wouldn’t have the faintest idea ’cause I don’t look anymore 8)
• Besides I would’ve only looked at the heart and soul anyway! 8) 8) 8) Muhahahaha!

Non-Faves:

• a ‘stache, espesh if it was fuller than mine! I’d be j!
• wet armpits
• being waaaaay too skinny or waaaaay too, um, jolly. 🙂

Fave Friday – Teenage Crushes

So supposedly, some magazine by the name of “Playboy” is jumping on the 3D bandwagon and coming out with a 3D edition of its own some time today. Playboy? I’ve never heard of it. What’s it all about? *grin*

In honor of this magazine I’ve never heard of, I was gonna ask you guys for your fave mags of all time, but we kinda-sorta did that one already. So instead, let’s focus on what every snotty-nosed teenager does what he reads this type of magazine: falls in love. In this case, it’s with Hope Dworaczyk.

Crushes. We’ve all had ’em. Not with Playboy models per se, but growing up with our raging hormones (yeah, I’m talking to you ladies too! 😛 ), we’ve all secretly (or not so secretly) had our eye on that cute girl/guy in our 5th period history class. * Alicia Silverstone – what ever happened to her anyway? Guess this site answers our questions.
* Patricia Ford – I was actually almost signed on to help her do her official web site, but things kinda fell through. That might’ve been fun eh?
* Pamela Anderson (NSFW) – at least until she got all crazy. Hehe!
* Danica McKellar – “Wonder Years”! I always wanted to be “Kevin”! She’s actually a math nerd now!
* Christina Applegate – Dem years on “Married with Children”… ’nuff said!
* Girl in my 7th grade math class! – Shhh! LOL!
* Girl in my college history class! – too bad she didn’t know I existed! LOL!

I know, lots yeah!? Da worst part is I know I’m missing some. Bahahaha! Nah, not dat bad… I think!

BTW, do you guys know what a “unicorn” is? My co-worker says that a “unicorn” is someone that you’ll always have feelings for, no matter how long it has been. Is it true that we all have that one “unicorn” in life???
