Another Weekend On the Big Island

Spent another few days on the Big Island this past weekend. Some highlights include:

• Eating at Big Island Grill
• Seeing and taking a photo with “The Admiral” David Robinson at Big Island Grill
• Toddy Bear’s Portuguese Bean Soup
• Driving along the Hamakua coast
• Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
• Malasadas from Tex Drive-In
• BBQ back at the crib, with steak, garlic shrimp, lomi salmon, poke, mac salad, rice
• Toddy Bear’s sugar/shoyu eggs, Portuguese sausage and fried rice
• Donkey Ball and coffee omiyage from Keoki’s Surfin’ Ass Coffee in Kona town
• Hitting balls at the Swing Zone
• Pau hana at Kona Brewing Company
• Writing my name with white rocks (on the black lava rock) along the Queen Kaahumanu Highway
• Picking up Reid and eating at Pine Tree Cafe
• Getting drenched playing 3/4 of a round of golf at Waikoloa
