What It’s Like to Be Married – Day 2

November 24, 2008

I’m going to make a prediction and say that day 2 of being married is just splendid. Yes, I’m queueing this one up in advance, before I’m actually married. Take that Nostradamus. *grin*

Well, we’re getting down to the nitty gritty and it’s about that time to leave the house to head for the hotel. Shmall kine jitters, but it’ll be fun. I’m just hoping that dang flash flood warning will hold up, or not show its face at all for one day… *sigh* Oh well, it’s out of our control at this point. Alls I know is that I’m looking forward to this once-in-a-lifetime, life changing event…

Back to predictions… “Today,” we are running around and making our last minute preparations before heading off to tha muthaland “tomorrow”. We will be running a bunch of loose end errands (e.g. going to the bank, buying omiyage, packing our suitcases, etc.) and then relaxing on day 2 as husband and wife. I still can’t believe my new title is “husband”. Holy cow!

OK, fo-real-fo-real now… I’m outs! You just can’t get rid of me eh? LOL! Sorry, my editor said that I will be in the papah today, so you know I had to future-post for all y’all! See ya! 🙂

Corny Wedding Jokes

November 18, 2008

If you’ve suffered through as many drunken uncle wedding jokes as I have, you’ve probably heard this one before. In fact, if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably rolled your eyes and finished all of uncle-bruddah’s sentences for him as soon as they started to deliver the joke. If you’re not up to speed on wedding jokes, please enjoy this one from the rest of us… 😉

In marriage, there are three rings: 1) The Engagement Ring, 2) The Wedding Ring, and… 3) SuffeRING! [insert charity laughter here]

What other corny jokes (or happenings in general) at weddings make your eyes roll. I don’t think we’ve made any of these mistakes in planning our day’s events, but you never know. Any last minute tips can’t hurt right? 🙂

Hope errone’s week is going good so far!

Funny First Dance Videos

November 17, 2008

Ahhh, first post of the week on auto-pilot. It’s magic! 🙂

Today, we’ll do funny first dance videos. The first one was forwarded to me as an attachment. I found the Youtube version and am embedding it here. Bruddah Warren sent a link (from snotr.com) to the second one (Mahaloz Warren!). I’ve also found and embedded the Youtube version for your pleasure. Enjoy!

I kinda like that these couples took the time to spice up their first dances. As a guest, aren’t you usually bored/disinterested after the first minute of watching the couple dance? We’re not gonna do this (sorry guests!), but if you did this, what fast song would you mix in dea?

November 14, 2008

No worries, I’ll try to remember to queue up one more week’s worth of posts (next week) for those who can’t get enough of this wedding talk, which, by the looks of the comments, is about 3 of us. 😉 I’ll be checking out your comments via my phone, so be sure to send them on in k (even you lurkers man!)? I’ll be paying particular attention to your words of wisdom on the Thursday and Friday posts, where I reach out to you marital bliss peeps, in a special, wedding edition Survey Thursday and Fave Five Friday.

Here’s this week’s Fave Five: Your favorite breakfast cereals! (Check out this list of breakfast cereals if you get stuck!)

  1. Lucky Charms – Combination of cereal to marshmallow is off the hook!
  2. Honeycomb – Super sweet! She goes!

[What da heck is Survey Thursday?]

Logical follow-up questions gotsta include how often?, befo’ or aftah you brush?, and what kine/brand floss you use?… Personally, I try to floss every day after I brush, but before I go bed. Brands I use include Crest Glide (da bulk pack from Costco), Longs brand Dentotape, and some waxy one. I switch between the three depending how I feel dat night. Haha! What say you?

Where In Hawaii is Edward Sugimoto? – November 12, 2008

November 12, 2008

I sense a trend hurr. For the 3rd week in a row, we have yet another multi-week winnah. With her guess of Big Kahuna’s Marketplace in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, snow joins the ranks with jr., Coconut Willy, HNL2LAS, and M as our multi week winners. Will a 6th member join the multi-week club this week, or will we have our first triple winner winner (winner), chicken dinner (dinner dinner)? 😉 Tune in to find out son!
