* Please send prayers and good vibes to the Oklahoma tornado victims.
* Thoughts on Kevin Durant’s 1 million dollar donation to Oklahoma’s tornado relief!? I think he just became my favorite NBA player!
* R.I.P. Ray Manzarek (The Doors’ keyboardist).
* Thoughts on Kelly Rowland and Paulino Rubio joining X Factor judging panel?
* MEM vs. SAS or MIA vs. IND? Who you got?
* Congratulations to American Idol Season 12 winner Candice Glover.
* Don’t forget to tune in to the 36th Annual Na Hoku Hanohano Awards this Saturday, May 25th at 7pm on KFVE (Oceanic Time Warner Cable channel 5, 85 and HD 1005).
* VH07V Spotted!
This week’s “SPOTTED!” shot is of local boy and Toronto Argonauts football sensation Chad Owens in our new “Tron” design. Recently, I asked you guys to send your questions in for my interview with him, so this was the scene after that interview. Bruddah was as cool and as humble as they come. I always love it when our locals make it big, but still stay grounded and real. Root for Chad in this upcoming season for Toronto k? He’s doing it big and deserves all the support he can get.
* New stock FINALLY got my new styles back in stock! “Tron” (Black Adult shirt with Green lettering and White Hawaiian Islands), “Lotus” (White Ladies Racerback with Black & Red Lotus print), and “Blocks” (Blue Ladies Racerback with White and Aqua Block print) is back in! You can now purchase them off the site (link below).
Check out Hawaii Self Storage in Pearl City (98-138 Hila Place) TODAY at 10am (registration by 8am) for another exciting live storage auction! For more information, visit www.hawaiiselfstorage.com!
Probably the biggest (recent) news – at least here locally – is the name change (again) of our beloved University of Hawaii men’s programs. It went from the Rainbows to the Warriors/Rainbows/Rainbow Warriors to the Warriors and then back to the Rainbow Warriors, or something to that effect. What are your thoughts on this? Do you care one way or another? That’s just one of my many topics of conversation in the “Scoops” section below. Holla!
* Did you guys hear this ridiculous story about Amy’s Baking Company in Arizona? It is quite hilarious (they’re now saying they were hacked), but also kinda scary how the power (and misuse) of social media can have such an impacting influence.
* OKC (1) vs. MEM (3), SAS (3) vs. GSW (2), MIA (3) CHI (1), or NYK (1) vs. IND (3)? Who you got?
* Candice Glover and Kree Harrison compete for the American Idol Season 12 crown? Who do you want to win? Tonight at 7pm on KHON (Oceanic channel 3, 83 or 1003).
* Anyone watching UFC on FX 8 (Belfort vs. Rockhold) this Saturday? 3pm on FX (Oceanic channel 554 or HD 1554).
* Anyone watching the finale episode of The Office on Thursday night? 8pm on KHNL (Oceanic channel 8, 88 or HD 1008).
* Anyone going to the final UH Rainbow Warrior baseball series at home against UC Davis? FRI 5/17 @ 6:35pm, SAT 5/18 @ 6:35pm and SUN 5/19 @ 1:05pm.
* VH07V Spotted!
This week’s “SPOTTED!” shot includes my friend’s son in one of his favorite Blue/Green Keiki colorways! Buy it and others here: VH07V.
* Waimea Bay Cliff Jump Video!
In case you missed it last week, here’s a cool new video that local boy ShibbyStylee put together at one of Hawaii’s famous dives: The Waimea Bay Cliff Jump. If you’re at all familiar with the DevinSuperTramp Youtube channel, then you’ll love what this local boy is doing for Hawaii. Using the beauty of Hawaii as his backdrop, “Shibby’s” videos have one part thrill/adrenaline/athleticism and one part EYE CANDY, all with a hand-picked, catchy song and in HD quality to boot! Bruddah is putting Hawaii on the map and it’s only a matter of time before he’s a household name! Here’s our first project together, which already has over 6,000 views in less than two weeks! Click the image below to watch the epic vid!
* New stock
We’re still waiting on our re-order for everything we were low and sold out on. We’re hoping to get that in soon, so we should be fully stocked again in the next week or so. Apologies to those who have been trying to order online, but your size(s) were missing.
* Order Online!

Sorry for not posting last week Wednesday y’all. In addition to getting owned at work with all kine corp visitors coming in and out, I went out of commission with a stomach flu. 😦 And even though I’m coughing with shmall kine congestion now, my fingers can still move so this post will not be denied! Haha!
Is everybody’s March going a-ok so far? I hope so! I got one month left in my body fat loss competition with friends. This sickness probably didn’t help (I haven’t been able to work out for more than a week now), but hopefully, I can get back to it soon. Anyway, here are this week’s pics! Hopefully, none are repeats. LOL! Good luck!
Out of thousands of entries, two of Hawaii’s brightest developers (Ryan Kanno and Austen Ito) were selected to be a part of this year’s StartupBus tour. Their mission? To develop a cool new startup during their bus ride that will debuted at SxSW in Austin Texas! Now that they’ve arrived and are in waiting mode before their projects (readin.gs & jobber.io) are judged, they’re looking to make the biggest social media impact while there. If you could help me support them by going to this link: http://americas.startupbus.com/2013/hawaii-represented-at-startupbus-look-out-for-readingsftw-and-jobberio/ and leaving a comment, they may have a chance to win that award too!
This week’s “Spotted” shot features Bruddah Bryan from the Skinny Hawaiians. He is wearing a Blue/Green VH07V Logo colorway during the Skinny Hawaiians’ visit with Jana Park at Kakaako Kool to learn more about the art of shaving ice.
Shave Ice in Hawaii – Learning How to Make Shave Ice at Kakaako Kool
* Other than hats (currently running low on some of them), I think I finally have a decent stock of inventory. Whew! Let’s see how long that lasts. 🙂
* Although the sales have been going pretty good for the new stuff like the moisture wicking polo) and the “Shaka” designs, I’ll probably start looking into releasing a few new style/designs, including the ballot-winning one below, in the coming months.
* Super stoked to announce that VH07V has been selected as one of only 10 crafters to get into this year’s SPAM Jam festival in Waikiki taking place next month (Saturday, April 27 @ 4pm-10pm). Come on down and visit us at the booth k?
Here’s a remixed video Hawaii Self Storage recently released featuring former UH standout and CFL world champion Chad Owens, whom they interviewed prior to him going OFF last season! Which reminds me… I’m supposed to try and line up an interview with him too. Start thinking of questions to ask him if ya got um. 🙂
“Chad Owens (Grey Cup Champion Version)” – Hawaii Self Storage
Hoooooray!!! Fourth week now with double digit comments. We on one roll! LOL! Mahalos to everyone for commenting. Here’s dis week’s pics! Good luck y’all!
* Don’t want to get too ahead of myself, but there may be some exciting opportunities coming for VH07V. Wish a brutha luck! 🙂
* Sales have been going shmall kine bonkers lately. One of the hot items (in addition to the moisture wicking polo), is our Blue “Shaka” design. I gotta re-order more already pretty soon!
Here’s a funny spot called “Out the Closet” that Hawaii Self Storage just released on their YouTube channel featuring OC16‘s hilarious tandem, Da Braddahs!
Wowzas! Third week in a row with double digit comments. Could it be that we’ve broken out of our new year funk? Hard to say, but let’s keep it going gang! Here are three semi easy ones served up on a silver platter for ya. 🙂
Kelly Boy De Lima of Kapena “slayed” it (as usual) at the Ukulele Picnic this past Sunday, and, following his performance, walked by all the vendor booths, showing his Aloha, waving and greeting everyone on his way out. As he came by our VH07V booth, he pointed at my dad and said “I like your shirt!” so right dea… I just HAD to chase him down and give him a shirt for himself. He was as genuine and as real as they get. Not only talented and a true professional, but super humble and a class act. Mahalos Kelly Boy!
* Not counting what I sold at the Ukulele Picnic, I am finally fully loaded with stock, including the three new designs/styles below. Whatchu tink? She go?
Hawaii Self Storage’s Storage Auction – Kaimuki Location
Another exciting storage auction is coming up for Hawaii Self Storage, this time at their 2909 Waialae Ave, Kaimuki location! Registration starts next Tuesday, February 19th at 9am with the auction getting going at 10am. Check it out!
How awesome is this!? This week’s “Spotted” shot for VH07V is of Jesse Sapolu sporting his San Francisco 49ers inspired VH07V with local boy Isaac Sopoaga prior to this past Sunday’s Super Bowl! Hard luck to Isaac and the Niners, but WOW what a game!
Wheeee! Double digit comments last week! It’s a miracle! 😛 Nah, but fo’ real… Mahalo to those of you who continue to check in, week after week. These blogs take fo-evah fo put together so the feedback at least tells me you’re still out there and I’m not just entertaining myself. LOL! Anyway, here are this weeks pics.
This week’s “Spotted” shot for VH07V is of ukulele virtuoso Lance Kawika Lopes, Jr. having dinner at Shirokiya’s Yataimura. Lance is pretty mean on the ukulele as showcased on his Youtube channel.
* I recently ordered a custom VH07V ukulele from the gang at KoAloha Ukulele. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
* Still waiting on my HUGE re-fill order to come in (the holidays wiped me out)! Hopefully it doesn’t take too much longer.
* Submitted new styles (embroidered wicker type polo, racerbacks for da wahine, etc.) and designs. I should get those in time for the Ukulele Picnic! Yay!
* Speaking of new designs, in a recent poll on Facebook and Instagram, this is the one that got the most votes, so we’ll start printing these ASAP.
Halfway through January folks. How’s da new year treating you? Good I hope! For me, it’s been shmall kine hectic, but always fun to interact with you guys here. Well, whoever is left these days at least. LOL! Much mahalos for continuing to read after all these years and being so supportive of everything! Here’s this week’s pics!
This week’s “Spotted” shot for VH07V is a random one of Bruddah Travis. Not quite sure what he’s doing, but all that matters is that he’s wearing his VH07V tee right? 😛
* HUGE re-fill order has been placed (the holidays wiped me out)! Hopefully it doesn’t take too long to get re-stocked.
* All order processing and fulfillment for online orders is now going completely through a professional fulfillment house. Thankful to get that load off my chest because I was getting a little burnt out from staying at storage til the wee hours of the night pulling orders. LOL!
* Also working on new styles like a wicker type polo, new styles for women, and new designs. I have at least two ready to go to print and a bunch of concepts in the works (see below).
Our friends’ cat Hachi is still missing! 😦 PLEASE HELP! He has been missing for 20 days now and I need your help finding him. Please Share this blog with all of your Mililani friends so that we can bring him safely home to his owners. Here’s a personal note from them:
Our cat Hachi, has been missing since December 27th. We recently moved back to the Mililani Uka area and we think that he might have gotten disoriented. He is 4 years old, black and white with a pink nose, and is medium/large (14 lbs) in size. His back is more black than white. If he is seen, please text or call 808-542-9385 or 808-469-6960.
The folks at Hawaii Self Storage are back with another exciting storage auction, this time at their Kapolei West location (2009 Lauwiliwili Street). The action starts at 10am on Tuesday, January 22 with registration at 9am. For more information, please call 808-682-0333!
Ho, August 29th already… Exactly one month away from this year’s Rice Fest. So fast yeah?
Anyway, sorry (again!), was slammed at work all day yesterday and had one late softball game last night so I could only muster up the energy for one photo this week. I’ll try to respond to last week’s comments soon too!
If you’ve been to this week’s photo location, this one is duck soup. How you like the stealth shot with my arm inside? LOL! Good luck y’all!

* Here’s a mockup of a couple new colorways I’ve been cooking up. The one on the top will hopefully be ready just in time for football season 8) , while the one on the bottom is a colorway I thought might work well for my friend who is involved with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure walk. While they can use it as a fundraiser for their team, for any sales I personally make, I could also donate part of the proceeds back to the foundation. All for a good cause. What do you guys think of either of them?
* Another reminder that VH07V will be sponsoring this year’s Rice Fest (duh!) and will produce the office Rice Fest shirt (for sale at the event) and will be the official T-shirt provider for all volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering on September 29th from 11am-7pm, holla atcho boy! 🙂
