Last week must’ve been too hard. This one won’t be any easier though (I think), but if you live in these neighborhoods, should be duck soup! Chance um!
Last week‘s Winnahs:
* Crack Seed Store (Lia)
* Hoku’s (jknakas)
* Les Murakami Stadium (Lia)
* VH07V on Tiny TV!
Our popular #TarpSurfing Commercial will air on the 3rd television show in as many weeks! Super exciting! This week, we’ll be on Tiny Tadani’s Tiny TV show on OC16 (Oceanic Time Warner Cable channel 12 or HD 1012) airing TONIGHT at 10:30pm and then repeating this Thursday and Friday at 10:30pm!
* Groove Hawaii Now Open!
This past Saturday 2/22, the much anticipated The Groove Hawaii officially opened its doors to the public. On Friday 2/21, as part of a social media event, I had the unique opportunity to preview their facilities during a soft launch opening. Was super fun, especially when you get a bunch of testosterone-filled men trying to get the better of each other on the Go-Kart race track (see pic below)! LOL! You can also play parlor games (arcades & billiards, darts, air-hockey, shuffleboard, etc.), climb a “rock” wall, take Segways tours, ride a Paradise Pedals Party Bike around town, or hold your next party or corporate event there. It’s the closest thing to Castle Park that we’ve had in a loonnnnnng time! Oh the memories. 😛 Hope they do well. Go and support them k? #SupportLocal

Some of you may’ve heard the news about the “acts of vandalism” on crosswalks in Hawaii Kai and Kapolei, where the “vandals” spelled out the word “ALOHA”. Oooooooh! (*sarcastic voice*) Well, you know I just couldn’t let it go with paying a little visit right? So I gathered up some friends (Heart and Soul‘s Jody Kamisato and Micah Ganiron, and Shibby Stylee‘s Andrew Agcaoili) and suggested we do the “Abbey Road” pose that the Beatles made famous in the 60s. Right down to the color of the clothes! You know, a nu skool, Aloha kine version of it right here in Hawaii. Below is the result (pc: Andrew Agcaoili). I hope you guys like it! 🙂

* We now have two local boys (Shane Victorino from the Boston Red Sox and Kolten Wong from the St. Louis Cardinals) now competing in the World Series, which starts today at 2:07pm on FOX (KHON channel 3 or HD 1003 on Oceanic Time Warner Cable). Hawaii should be super proud!
* Who are you rooting for? Boston or St. Louis? Victorino or Wong?
* VH07V Spotted!
This week’s “SPOTTED!” is from another music video from the trio of Jody Kamisato, TJ Mayeshiro and Micah Ganiron who make up the group Heart & Soul. This time, they cover Brown Eyed Girl, originally written by Van Morrison, but made famous here in Hawaii by the Ka`au Crater Boys.

* VH07V now at Aloha Stadium!
Select items are also now available at Aloha Stadium during home UH Football games! Super exciting! Thanks to Centerplate’s CGear and their 4 stores inside the stadium (one at each end zone and one on each sideline), you can now pick up our “Tron” and Green/White Logo designs, along with our Green Shaka and the hats below! The main store will also actually be open during swap meet hours so check them out then as well!
* Lanyards coming soon!
The lanyards I ordered are scheduled to be shipped to me next Monday, on the 28th. Can’t wait! Here’s a mockup of what it is supposed to look like. Dope right?
* Another show!
I know I said I was pau for the year, but I may be doing another event early next month. It’s for a good cause though (a fundraiser). More details when I get it!
* Christmas coming soon!
Gonna start stocking up on inventory since Christmas is just around the corner. Look for some specials l’dat!
* New Design: “???”
Working on an all-new mystery design, that I don’t want to mention yet because somebody else might steal the idea. Haha. Design is actually pretty basic, but the message is cool (IMO). Hopefully others will feel the same way. 🙂 More TBA soon!

Hungry? I hope so! This week is na-ting but local kine grindz!
Last week, we had 25 comments! Woo hoo! Mahalos to errr-one, especially newcomer Surfdad for the (inadvertent) dupe posts! EH! Any help we can get with the comment count these days… LOL!
We are super excited to announce that VH07V will have a booth at the super popular Honolulu Night Market taking place from 6pm-11pm THIS Saturday, 6/15 in Kakaako (Auahi Street).
We’ll be fully stocked (including our new Tron and Racerback designs) at our booth, which will be located in the “Pinch of Salt” Warehouse during the event. Come on by for special, show only pricing!
At this Saturday’s Honolulu Night Market (where we have a booth, as mentioned above), the Red Bull X-Fighters will be performing live freestyle motocross jumps right on the streets of Kakaako (6pm-7pm)! The jump demo will be followed by a meet & greet and autograph session with the athletes themselves: Keith Sayers, Wes Agee, & 3-time X-Games Gold Medalist Ronnie Renner (7pm-8pm). Here’s a sneak peek at what these guys do!
* VH07V Spotted!
This week’s “SPOTTED!” shot is via another video from the crazy talented Andrew Agcaoili, aka Shibby Stylee! Shibby and his “Bomb Squad” visited the Big Island of Hawaii to do some gnarly dives off South Point. Check out the video below!
* Shooting a Commercial!
This past weekend, we shot the first few scenes for our new commercial for VH07V. Click on the image below to see more photos from that day!
How awesome is this!? This week’s “Spotted” shot for VH07V is of Jesse Sapolu sporting his San Francisco 49ers inspired VH07V with local boy Isaac Sopoaga prior to this past Sunday’s Super Bowl! Hard luck to Isaac and the Niners, but WOW what a game!
Wheeee! Double digit comments last week! It’s a miracle! 😛 Nah, but fo’ real… Mahalo to those of you who continue to check in, week after week. These blogs take fo-evah fo put together so the feedback at least tells me you’re still out there and I’m not just entertaining myself. LOL! Anyway, here are this weeks pics.
This week’s “Spotted” shot for VH07V is of ukulele virtuoso Lance Kawika Lopes, Jr. having dinner at Shirokiya’s Yataimura. Lance is pretty mean on the ukulele as showcased on his Youtube channel.
* I recently ordered a custom VH07V ukulele from the gang at KoAloha Ukulele. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
* Still waiting on my HUGE re-fill order to come in (the holidays wiped me out)! Hopefully it doesn’t take too much longer.
* Submitted new styles (embroidered wicker type polo, racerbacks for da wahine, etc.) and designs. I should get those in time for the Ukulele Picnic! Yay!
* Speaking of new designs, in a recent poll on Facebook and Instagram, this is the one that got the most votes, so we’ll start printing these ASAP.
