OK gang. It’s time to get interactive again and post your questions for another local celebrity… CFL juggernaut Chad Owens! Much like we did for:

I’m trying to work out an interview with pro football sensation Chad Owens in the coming days/weeks (depending on our schedules) and would love to include your questions. So in the comment area below, post the questions you’d like me to ask him.

As a recap, Chad Owens – a former Roosevelt Rough Rider and University of Hawaii Warrior standout – is coming off of an AMAZING 2012 CFL season with the Toronto Argonauts! First, with individual honors, breaking the all-time, single season all-purpose yards record (previously held by “Pinball” Clemons), becoming the first player in professional football to record back to back to BACK seasons with 3,000+ combined all-purpose yards, and then, winning the league’s Most Outstanding Player award! Then, he scored the opening touchdown en route to his team’s 35-22 home win over the Calgary Stampeders in the 100th Grey Cup championship game… All with a broken thumb!!! Here’s his post-game interview. As if that weren’t enough, he is also hard at work, training for his first MMA fight on the April 6th Destiny “Na Koa III” card. Click here for more details on that.

Sorry for not posting last week Wednesday y’all. In addition to getting owned at work with all kine corp visitors coming in and out, I went out of commission with a stomach flu. 😦 And even though I’m coughing with shmall kine congestion now, my fingers can still move so this post will not be denied! Haha!

Is everybody’s March going a-ok so far? I hope so! I got one month left in my body fat loss competition with friends. This sickness probably didn’t help (I haven’t been able to work out for more than a week now), but hopefully, I can get back to it soon. Anyway, here are this week’s pics! Out of thousands of entries, two of Hawaii’s brightest developers (Ryan Kanno and Austen Ito) were selected to be a part of this year’s StartupBus tour. Their mission? To develop a cool new startup during their bus ride that will debuted at SxSW in Austin Texas! Now that they’ve arrived and are in waiting mode before their projects (readin.gs & jobber.io) are judged, they’re looking to make the biggest social media impact while there. * Other than hats (currently running low on some of them), I think I finally have a decent stock of inventory. Whew! Let’s see how long that lasts. 🙂

* Although the sales have been going pretty good for the new stuff like the moisture wicking polo) and the “Shaka” designs, I’ll probably start looking into releasing a few new style/designs, including the ballot-winning one below, in the coming months.

Chad contacted me (VH07V) through Instagram complimenting the brand. We chatted a bit through email and I eventually asked for his address so that I could send him some apparel as a Mahalo! He was nothing but nice with CHOKE aloha so it makes me soooooo happy that all this success is coming to him. I wish I could take credit for his success this season (like the “power of VH07V” gave him good luck or something… LOL!), but it was all him! Hard work pays off!

Brisbane Australia, Here we come!

As mentioned last week, I have been invited (as a “social media influencer”) on board Hawaiian Airlines’ inaugural flight to Brisbane Australia departing this week. Like some of Hawaiian’s previous inaugural flights (Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Seoul, New York City and Sapporo), there will be a fair amount of hoopla surrounding this flight and I’m pretty excited.

I’ll likely miss posting this Wednesday’s “Where in Hawaii” blog, but there will still be posts galore being made during the two night trip to Queensland. If you’re interested, you can follow along with all the Brisbane merriment through the following links. Rumor has it that Melissa Chang and Catherine Toth will be going on this trip as well! Awesomeness!
