Steelers or Packers? Who You Got?

February 4, 2011

It’s that time of year again… Das right! Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner. On one side, we got Big Ben, Troy’s hair and the rest of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ D, while on the other side, we have the cheeseheads and the air attack of Aaron Rodgers and company. Who’s your pick this year and why?

Super Bowl XLV
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers

Me? I want Green Bay! Aside from the one week during the playoffs where he sat out and completely screwed my fantasy team (d’oh!), Rodgers was a beast all year! He seems like a nice guy too! Besides that, I’m not very fond of Roethlisberger. Gooooo Cheeseheads! 😉

P.S. While we’re at it, if there are any MMA fans still out there, who are your favorites for this weekend’s UFC 126?

Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort
Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin
Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones
Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Miguel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos
Chad Mendes vs. Michihiro Omigawa
Norifumi Yamamoto vs. Demetrious Johnson
Donald Cerrone vs. Paul Kelly
Mike Pierce vs. Kenny Robertson
Paul Taylor vs. Gabe Ruediger
Kyle Kingsbury vs. Ricardo Romero

Shoots den!

Where In Hawaii is Edward Sugimoto? – April 29, 2009

April 29, 2009

Supah big mahalos to all of you for your kind words on yesterday’s bloggy blog and for telling me that WIH was one of your favorite blogs. To show my appreciation, I will special post your favorite Where In Hawaii blog on this non-Wednesday. Oh, it’s Wednesday? Oops. At least the thought was there right? 😉

Last weekgetITon got the place correct, but the dish incorrect. But since this is WHERE in Hawaii (and not WHAT in Hawaii like NeedaHobby suggested) (let’s)getITon is da big winnah! Congrats yo!!

If any of you know anything about me, this one will probably be pretty easy, as I go here often. That’s all I’m-a-gonna say. Ack, I said too much. Go!

* Anyone heard of this Fedor vs. Shinya Aoki matchup? Can’t find it anywhere on TV. Not even HDNet. Are they airing it? I know it’s interesting for the fans, but isn’t this just a lose-lose situation for Fedor?
* Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin has been booked for the UFC 101 card. Picks? Thoughts on Silva’s last performance?
* Thoughts on Michael Bisping’s cocky attitude on this season of TUF?
* Thoughts on Tom Atencio’s (Affliction’s President) upcoming MMA fight?
* Predictions for Evans vs. Machida? Brown vs. Faber 2? Nate Diaz vs. Scott Smith? Overeem vs. Brett Rogers?
* Interested in seeing the new movie Fighting?

Happy Hump Day Where In Hawaii Wednesday y’all. 🙂 Shooooots!

Where In Hawaii is Edward Sugimoto? – October 22, 2008

October 22, 2008

OK, so your boy blew it last week by neglecting to notice (and Photoshop out) the obvious “Jurison’s” left on the plate. Either way, HNL2LAS was the big winner (again), making that her second in three weeks! Congrats HNL2LAS!

This week, I made sure to double (AND TRIPLE) check the plate to make sure there were no markings giving the answer away. Not going be so easy dis time!

Jesse Taylor Out, Amir Sadollah to Face CB Dollaway in the Ultimate Fighter Finale

June 20, 2008

So I admittedly haven’t been home long enough to sit down and watch back the entire episode of Wednesday’s the Ultimate Fighter show, but my Google Reader told me that the meathead who got eliminated (due to the kicking out of the limo window) was Jesse Taylor. No surprise. What did surprise, yet delight me was to see that Amir Sadollah moved on to the finale, which meant one thing. Arrogant/Cocky CB Dollaway lost! YES!

So this morning, I had to do a quick fast forward/rewind recap of the show on my DVR to see exactly what happened.

* FF – through Amir vs. CB match
* Stop & Rewind – to watch armbar setup and execution
* Play – through post fight wrap-up and interviews (don’t you hate it when people say their own name in the 3rd person? – “CB Dollaway” – so irras!)
* FF – to Jesse incident and Dana’s speech to him
* FF – through CB vs. Tim Credeur match (noticed it went three rounds. Gotta love and respect Tim.)

So now it’s Amir Sadollah vs. CB Dollaway 2 for the Ultimate Fighter finale on Spike TV tomorrow night (Digital Channel 0559 @ 6PM). When there were four men left, this is the matchup I wanted for the finale anyway. Let’s just see if Amir can pull off the upset again. CB is way too strong and talented, and will no doubt make it as a fighter, but I just hate how conceited he is about it. Amir seems humble and appreciative of everything and you just want to see someone like that win it all. Plus, he can scrap no?

TGIF folks. Have a good weekend!

Talk to me!
* Who do you want to win? CB or Amir?
* What do you think of Tim Credeur? What a good guy yeah?
* What are your big plans this weekend?
