Sorry for not posting last week Wednesday y’all. In addition to getting owned at work with all kine corp visitors coming in and out, I went out of commission with a stomach flu. 😦 And even though I’m coughing with shmall kine congestion now, my fingers can still move so this post will not be denied! Haha!
Is everybody’s March going a-ok so far? I hope so! I got one month left in my body fat loss competition with friends. This sickness probably didn’t help (I haven’t been able to work out for more than a week now), but hopefully, I can get back to it soon. Anyway, here are this week’s pics! Hopefully, none are repeats. LOL! Good luck!
Out of thousands of entries, two of Hawaii’s brightest developers (Ryan Kanno and Austen Ito) were selected to be a part of this year’s StartupBus tour. Their mission? To develop a cool new startup during their bus ride that will debuted at SxSW in Austin Texas! Now that they’ve arrived and are in waiting mode before their projects (readin.gs & jobber.io) are judged, they’re looking to make the biggest social media impact while there. If you could help me support them by going to this link: http://americas.startupbus.com/2013/hawaii-represented-at-startupbus-look-out-for-readingsftw-and-jobberio/ and leaving a comment, they may have a chance to win that award too!
This week’s “Spotted” shot features Bruddah Bryan from the Skinny Hawaiians. He is wearing a Blue/Green VH07V Logo colorway during the Skinny Hawaiians’ visit with Jana Park at Kakaako Kool to learn more about the art of shaving ice.

* Other than hats (currently running low on some of them), I think I finally have a decent stock of inventory. Whew! Let’s see how long that lasts. 🙂
* Although the sales have been going pretty good for the new stuff like the moisture wicking polo) and the “Shaka” designs, I’ll probably start looking into releasing a few new style/designs, including the ballot-winning one below, in the coming months.
* Super stoked to announce that VH07V has been selected as one of only 10 crafters to get into this year’s SPAM Jam festival in Waikiki taking place next month (Saturday, April 27 @ 4pm-10pm). Come on down and visit us at the booth k?
Here’s a remixed video Hawaii Self Storage recently released featuring former UH standout and CFL world champion Chad Owens, whom they interviewed prior to him going OFF last season! Which reminds me… I’m supposed to try and line up an interview with him too. Start thinking of questions to ask him if ya got um. 🙂

* Don’t want to get too ahead of myself, but there may be some exciting opportunities coming for VH07V. Wish a brutha luck! 🙂
* Sales have been going shmall kine bonkers lately. One of the hot items (in addition to the moisture wicking polo), is our Blue “Shaka” design. I gotta re-order more already pretty soon!

On Monday morning, Rice Fest received huge, national coverage from the Today Show when they covered both our Guinness World Record breaking attempt for the world’s Largest SPAM Musubi and our SPAM Musubi eating contest. In the piece, our back-to-back defending champion “Uncle Rodney” wore his Red/Gold VH07V tee and got SPOTTED! in the national story. Kinda cool yeah?
Speaking of Rice Fest, I just gotsta take the time to briefly send a big shoutout to my friends who supported me and not only performed at Rice Fest, but also, to my surprise, wore their VH07V shirts. It really warms the heart of a brutha to get such support.
* Getting closer to outsourcing the fulfillment duties (shipping, inventory management, etc.) for VH07V in the hopes of launching an online shopping portal at some point soon. Stay tuned!
* Even more new hat styles will be announced and released soon.
* My friend Shari picked up her 3rd bulk order for her Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure team: Team VH07V! Here’s a photo she took of that order. If you’d like to donate to her team, please visit the Team VH07V page. If you’d like to join her team for the walk (October 21st), click on this link.
* Got another show that I’ll be having a booth at this Sunday (The 7th Annual Hawaii Fishing & Seafood Expo). I think I’m literally trying to kill myself. LOL! Anyway, hope to see some of you there. Details below…

For the last three years, I have participated in a program called “The Good Table”, an island-wide dining event in which tables are purchased at various restaurants across Oahu by groups or individuals who are then treated to a unique and custom dining experience. Proceeds from the sales of these tables go to Lanakila Meals on Wheels, Hawaii’s largest and only island-wide meal service for seniors.
Although it is too late to purchase tables for this year, here’s a little video that I encourage you to watch to perhaps inspire you to consider purchasing a table for next year.
